Enshrouded Update “Forging the Path” Is Live - Servers Available on XLGAMES.GG

Good news for all Flameborn - the new Enshrouded update, “Forging the Path,” is now live.

This is a major content update and the final big step before the game’s official 1.0 release. It brings a wide range of changes, including the first version of Adventure Sharing, a large combat overhaul, a fully reworked skill tree, equipment upgrades, and a long list of quality-of-life improvements across the game.

What’s new in “Forging the Path”

The update introduces one of the biggest feature sets Enshrouded has received so far.

Adventure Sharing
Players can now upload and share their worlds with the community, browse creations from other players, and explore shared worlds directly from the game. This is the first major step toward a broader content-sharing system that Keen Games is building for the future.

Combat Rework
Combat has been heavily updated with new mechanics and more depth. The patch adds:

• weapon special abilities powered by the new Focus resource,

• heavy attacks for melee weapons,

• updated attack chains for certain weapon types,

• improved enemy awareness and behavior,

• new combat options for more tactical fights.

Skill Tree Overhaul
The skill tree has been significantly redesigned:

• more than 20 new skill nodes were added,

• many skills can now be upgraded,

• the layout was reworked for better build variety,

• visual improvements and zoom options were added.

Please note that after installing the update, existing characters will have their skill trees reset, and all spent skill points will be refunded for redistribution.

Gear Upgrade System
Armor, shields, rings, wards, pickaxes, axes, and more can now be upgraded with runes. Existing gear from earlier versions is converted to the new upgradeable system automatically, so players should check their equipment and upgrade their favorite items for the best protection and performance.

Early Game and Quality-of-Life Improvements
The update also improves the early game experience, tutorials, quest organization, crafting convenience, building systems, water behavior, inventory management, and overall performance.

Among the notable improvements:

• new quest log structure with main and side quests,

• new Quick Stack Station for easier resource storage,

• better building from magic chests,

• improved glider behavior,

• better crafting organization,

• lower RAM usage and rendering improvements.

Important notes after updating

There are a few things players should keep in mind after updating their world:

• Skill points are refunded because of the skill tree rework.

• Key bindings may have changed, so it is worth checking controls.

• Upgradeable gear now replaces older equipment versions.

• Water behavior has changed, which may affect existing builds that use dispensers and canals.
