Monday, June 29, 2026 at 6:27 PM
The global 7 Days to Die V3.0 “Dead Hot Summer” update has been released, bringing one of the biggest gameplay and server-configuration changes to the game so far.
This update introduces over 150 sandbox customization options, giving players and server owners much deeper control over how their world works. You can now fine-tune difficulty, zombie behavior, loot, crafting, traders, Blood Moon settings, player penalties, item degradation, resource abundance, and many other survival systems.
What’s New in 7 Days to Die V3.0
The V3.0 update adds a large number of new features and improvements, including:
- 150 sandbox customization options
- New official sandbox presets, including Undead Matinee, Madmole’s Mayhem, Bite Club, Legacy Survival, 7 Days Later, and more
- New Item Magnitude system for boosted weapon, tool, gear, and mod stats
- Optional repair and item degradation mechanics
- New Combine Station for improving and repairing items
- New M60 turret
- Full POI signage overhaul with the new Sign-Tech system

- Major modding and XUi framework changes
- Many balance changes, optimizations, and bug fixes
Important Server Configuration Changes
With V3.0, many legacy server settings that were previously configured directly through serverconfig.xml have been moved into the new SandboxCode system.
This affects many older settings such as difficulty, XP multiplier, Blood Moon settings, zombie speed, loot abundance, airdrops, death penalty, AI smell mode, and other sandbox-related options.
On our hosting platform, we have already updated the 7 Days to Die server configuration system. All old legacy sandbox settings have been removed from the control panel, and the panel now supports the new SandboxCode field.
To configure your server sandbox settings:
- Launch 7 Days to Die.
- Open the sandbox settings menu.
- Configure the world settings the way you want.
- Copy the generated SandboxCode.
- Paste it into the SandboxCode field in the server control panel.
- Save the settings and restart your server.
This allows your server to fully support the new V3.0 sandbox system.
Hosting Ready for V3.0
Our 7 Days to Die hosting is already prepared for the new V3.0 update. You can create your own customized apocalypse, use the new sandbox presets, adjust survival difficulty, and manage the new SandboxCode directly from the control panel.
